Here in the Poconos the ice is not safe. We lost a fisherman about 5 days ago, two went thru, one came out :(

Ice Fishing Gear going up in the attic this weekend. Time to start our spring fishing. In over 45 years this is the first year that we haven't had safe Ice in northern Westchester County.

Same jig ? Anybody else around? I'll be out there soon enough...very nice looks like an early start ...I checked my night crappie spot and found it loaded with suckers so as soon as they clear out the crappie should be in there. Nice fillet job. I'll be out one day this week. Catch and release into hot bacon grease !

Same jig. Tons of folks around, no one catching  . At one point i had 5 guy's standing behind me watching my every move :D . They still caught nada :D . Crappies were wayyyyyy out, and deep. I had my jig set a good 4 1/2 - 5 ft below the float. Released 5-6 bass as well.
