Offshore Report 2-4-12

Our offshore trip produced some nice Pollock up to 28LBS and a few cod.

The water temperature is still a little high for a good movement of cod but it is beginning to drop and we should start to see more cod on those trips.

Our next offshore special sails 11PM Friday February 17 and 24.

The pool winners were:

Leo May from Somerville NJ with a 28LB Pollock,

Dave Mele from Denville NJ with a 25LB Pollock.

A few of the Pollock were caught on a jig and teaser combo and the rest were caught on bait fished 10 to 20’ off the bottom. We caught Pollock on either clams or squid.

This week the big Jamaica will sail at 4AM till 5PM for ling and cod on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Next week we will sail at 4AM Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, and offshore Saturday. For our complete schedule
