October 24, 2011

We had good fishing for Blackfish today and they hit every type of crab, from Asians to Greens to Fiddlers.

For the first time in a few weeks, we also had very good Porgy fishing. The best thing about it is that the Porgies are in close and we do not have to get near to the forbidden three mile line that marks the transition from state to federal waters.

The weather for tomorrow looks okay, but the end of the week is shaky with rain and wind in the forecast.

Sorry, but there will be no galley on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Captain Danny reports that Jim Bois from Pennsylvania was the pool winner on last night's Striper trip.

October 23, 2010 – It was a much nicer day on the water today, with light winds and little current. We could have used more of either for better anchoring.

Once again, there were Cod on every drop and better Ling fishing than yesterday. A mix of other fish also came over the rails today including White Hake, Blackfish, Whiting, a nice Striped Bass, and Sea Bass (which went back.) There were also a few Lobsters. Dave Woodson from Dover, NJ won the pool with a nice Cod.

We will try these early LING and COD trips again next weekend if the weather permits.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29 and SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30 from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

We are also sailing a LONGER TRIP on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 1 for the SEA BASS opener from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

The ANGLER will sail for Tog and Porgies tomorrow.
