After last weeks Fluke slaughter i just had to get out there one more time before they closed part #1 of the season on us. I was joined today with my good friends Dan and Andrew. I also had the pleasure of finally meeting Marcco and Elias. The first drift was a good one with me landing 2 5+lb Fluke and Dan landing a 7+lb beauty. After that things slowed down a bit. But they could not hide from Capt. Desi for long, and soon it was game on. By day's end i managed to land at least 35 Fluke including 9 keepers which ranged in weight between 5+ lbs to 7+ lbs ( only keeping my limit of course). The boat totaled between 50 - 60 keepers. All of my fish were taken on a single white bucktail (no teaser or hi hook) baited with either a spearing or a smelt. Capt. Desi "as always" was on his game yesterday, as were mates Tommy and Josh who were there whenever you needed them. You didn't even have to look, if you were hooked up to a good fish, they were there. Great fishing, with a great crew, who could ask for more. Plus i had the pleasure of spending some quality time with my good friends Dan and Andrew. If you get the chance i strongly suggest getting out there before the season closes. Quality Fluke in shallow water, on lite tackle, with some of the best people in the business. Who could ask for more.
