Took delivery last week of my new inshore heavy custom rod from Billy40 and was dieng to get it bent and dirty.Gave Capt.Ken of the Brooklyn Girl in orient a call and took the last spot on Sunday afternoon/eveining bass trip.Capt Ken took a ride to the race for the beginning of the trip and on the 3rd drift I yelled fish on and Ken had them located.I quickly boated a 32 inch school fish and kept it for dinner. Two more drifts and Capt.Ken was dialed in and it was 6 out of 10 rods bent.We worked the race for a few more hours and had about 30-35 or so fish for 10 anglers and then lost the tide.We kept a few slots open for some big fish and decided to hit another area.

We ran back to the gut to catch the tied there and after a few drifts and the sun going down I was the first to hook up.We put another 10- 12 fish on the boat, keeping what was needed while releasing the rest and called it a night.I finished the night catching 9 bass to 19.5 lbs.6 of my fish came on bucktails and the other 3 on eels.Light colired bucktails in the day and dark colors at night. The Pool fish went 27 lbs, nothing huge tonite but plenty of fish to go around.Everyone else on board had between 3 and 6 fish apiece.Nice to see Jay grouper scopoper and Bill codboy aboard who caught there share of bass also.

As always great job done by Captain Capt.Kenny Holmes who kept us on fish day and night.Chris Buckley filled in for older brother Dan as mate and service was first class as he did not miss a beat.Anybody lookin to get on on some good out east bassin give the boys on the Brooklyn girl a shot, you wont be dissapointed.
