On Sunday, 11/15 all three of the ISLAND CURRENT FLEET boats were out. This was the first day out since the hard blow from Thursday thru Saturday.

Both the ISLAND CURRENT II and ISLAND CURRENT III saw life on all drops. The fishing was not great; however, it was better than would be expected due to the conditions the last few days. Some anglers limited out while other had only a few.

Capt. Chris ran the ISLAND CURRENT for Jason O. and his group. Capt. Chris stated that things were looking very promising on the first 2 1/2 hours of the outgoing tide where they were able to boat two keepers up to 32 inches and around 25 shorts. After that the fish turned off and the rest of the day was a struggle. Theses fish were feeding on Manta-Shrimp and required the "bouncing jig technique." Hit all other points for only a few. Did not see any bird activity to either the north or south sides of the western sound.

Our local trips sail at 8 AM everyday aboard the ISLAND CURRENT III. The 50/50 blackfish trips depart at 6 AM every Monday & Wed. Also our Marathon Trip sails this Friday, 11/20 at 5 AM. Please call ZERVE at 212.209.3370 or book online to purchase tickets.

NOTE: THE ISLAND CURRENT III will be sailing out of SNUG HARBOR, RHODE ISLAND for WINTER CODFISH from Jan. thru March. Call Capt. Chris at 917.417.7557 for information on PRIVATE CHARTERS or general open boat information.
