FINAL RESTING PLACE:
On Monday, June 8, a 150-foot long caisson gate was deployed on the Deepwater Reef site. A caisson gate is a barrier used to dam off the open end of a dry dock and is constructed of heavy gauge steel with several tons of ballast in the keel.
This deployment will rest at coordinates: 38*58.300 x 074*10.900.
On Tuesday, June 9, a 65-foot tugboat VINIK HUNTRESS was sunk at the Sandy Hook Reef site in memory of Hudson River Fishermen’s Association member Darren Cardinal. Sponsorship for this project is provided by the association and The Sportfishing Fund.
This vessel will rest at coordinates: 40*21.541 x 073*56.006.
