Postby EC NEWELLMAN » Thu Aug 29, 2019 11:21 pm

DEC has scheduled two public hearings for an addendum to the Interstate Fishery Management Plan for Striped Bass. Results of the 2018 benchmark stock assessment for Atlantic striped bass indicated that the stock is overfished and experiencing overfishing. The addendum describes several options for managing striped bass harvest for public consideration and comment.

The venue for the hearing on September 4 has changed. The new venue is in Bethpage State Park.
