We do not see this often in Sheepshead Bay these days, but Captain Rob has informed me that the new MARILYN JEAN V - which was for many years his 'CAPTREE PRINCESS' then 'CAPTREE PRIDE' will be arriving sometime before noon today...possibly earlier.

Best of luck and it will be a new "sight to see" at the party boat piers along Emmons Ave...

THIS MORNING LEAVING HER BERTH AT CAPTREE FOR THE LAST TIME

As posted upon socialized media....and once again best wishes for Captain Tony Santella and the crew. It was a happy morning and early afternoon in the Bay!

Coming down to the Bay this morning, there was a different sight to see while traveling east bound along Emmons Ave as Captain Rob Andresen brought his long time party boat Captree Princess, then later renamed Captree Pride alongside Pier 7 before noon. A few of the regulars were there to greet Captain Tony Santella and the crew of the new MARILYN JEAN V, and it was a happy atmosphere as it is rare these days to see a new party boat coming in.

As everyone was commenting of the glow coming off the MJ V, we were reminded of the almost four decades in between this day when she was last seen as the Enterprise docked at the east end of the Bay - Pier 1. Since the time the original Enterprise left, she was at one point in Florida, then became one of the numerous 'Speedy' party boats out of Captree before sailing out of Belmar, New Jersey as the Big Mohawk III, then coming back to Captree with Captain Rob.

Eventually everyone gathered in the spacious cabin with Captain Rob and his son Robbie, Frank Selito, Richie Rockfish, Glen Evans, Dave Wrynn along with Captain Tony and his crew for the last going over through the boat. Everyone then climbed back up on the dock where Perry-O was standing, and a few more stories and well wishes were passed along before the new MJ V was pulled off and secured to the dock.

I would imagine Captain Kenny and many others at Captree are going to miss one of the finest fishing platforms in its class, and best wishes to Captain Tony and the crew for the 2019 fishing season.

As Captain Rob said to me, "the last time standing up here after docking this boat."

Yes Rob, you have come a very long way since that time you bought her with many fishing adventures in between.

Now for Captain Tony, Tony, Ryan and the rest of the crew to now make their own memorable fishing trips over the coming years.

All the best!
