This past weekend we sailed 2 offshore trips.
The first was our Ultra-Limited Load COD trip. Fishing was much better than its been with high hooks having six or seven fish. The fish were nice fish in the 8-15 pound class and all were caught on bait. We hope to add in more of these trips as our schedule permits.
The second trip was a CANYON TILEFISH trip. Fishing was quite good with many people catching limits. We had some really nice fish on this trip. Jerry Sullivan had the pool winner with a 43 pound GOLDEN and his buddy Jonathan Spreter chimed in with a 31 pound beauty. We had a number of other fish in the 10-20 pound range. Pictures of these fish will be posted shortly.
This month we have room on our upcoming 2-day LIMITED WORLD RECORD HUNT and DEEPWATER EXPLORATORY TILEFISH TRIPS as well as our regular 1.5-day TILEFISH TRIPS.
We also have room on our Memorial Day Weekend 2.5-day NANTUCKET COD WRECK AND JIGGING TRIP. Last year the Memorial Day trip saw EXCELLENT COD FISHING with loads of COD, POLLOCK, HADDOCK and WHITE HAKE on both bait and jigs. If you enjoy fishing for COD and POLLOCK this is the trip for you. I can't stress enough that the government may close this fishery down in the near future so come out while you still can!
Our first OPEN BOAT SEA BASS trip of the season is Wednesday May 16 at 7:30 AM. We have tried a few drops on likely SEA BASS spots and have been pleasantly surprised. More and more SEA BASS should be moving in everyday as the water continues to warm and the inshore migration picks up steam.
We will also be sailing on Sunday morning May 13 for Ling leaving at 7:30 AM and returning around 3:30 PM. This trip is OPEN BOAT so you can just come on down.
