NOV 27, 2017 - VOYAGER: 1st FALL BLOCK ISLAND SEA BASS & SCUP TRIP - NOW UPDATED WITH TRIP REPORT

Captain Jeff and the VOYAGER are making their way back to Pt. Pleasant, and from his description of the day, it sounded like he dropped upon a few 'Sea Bass Banger' drops. Limits easily made and I would imagine Captain Jeff will have more to report in the following day.

Captain Jeff of the ** VOYAGER ** report......
=====================================

We made our first trip up to Block Island yesterday and

fishing was excellent!

From blowing the horn just before sunrise until we left in the afternoon, JUMBO SEA BASS were flying over the rails. We also picked at mixed size PORGIES on all drops. There were a few dogs mixed in here and there but nothing terrible. We tried a few spots during the day and all had plenty of life.

Our last stop saw JUMBO BASS double headers all around the boat with everyone catching limits! We didn't see any COD but with 20-30 knots of wind we really couldn't move around that much. I'm sure there are some COD around but we need a little nicer weather to try some other spots.

Due to the great fishing we have added one more Block Island trip leaving Sunday night December 17th. If you would like to book a spot please e-mail Richie or call 732-295-3019 and leave a message. You can view photos from the trip in our Photo Gallery on the VOYAGER web site and several are posted on the VOYAGER socialized media page:

Our "local" (50-80 mile) SEA BASS fishing has been good overall with good action on SEA BASS, PORGIES, and BLUES. We also had some nice WEAKFISH on our last trip.

Many anglers had limits of SEA BASS but you had to cull through some smaller fish to get them. For those interested in catching PORGIES, the use of a smaller hook was the ticket and many limits were made. Bluefish have been a bit of a nuisance, biting SEA BASS and PORGIES in half but should start to move out as the water cools.

This cooling down of the water should also bring in more SEA BASS. If you are interested in booking a trip please e-mail us or call 732-295-3019 and leave a message.

We are taking bookings for our November-December Offshore Jumbo Sea Bass/Porgy trips & for our January BLOCK ISLAND COD trips. REMINDER-THE VOYAGER'S FOOD GALLEY WILL BE OPEN ON ALL TRIPS
