Bobby Boitel, Mike Danon and the Freeport NY crew came up for a couple of days of fishing!
The first day we went fluking and "tuned them up" with fish up to 13.2 lbs caught by Bob Kennedy the Mayor of Freeport. On the second day we did a number on the haddock pollack and cod.
Another good day on the fluke grounds!
We stayed a little shallower than we have with good results. A nice average size with fish up to ten pounds.
COD is king!!!!
Yesterday we had an outstanding George's Bank rock and wreck limited trip.
We started with lots of haddock and pollock with a pick of cod. As the day progressed we found the main vein of big cod. Bait or jigs worked well with very few dogs around.
