5/7 Procasinator NC Report

Postby whitechin » Sat May 12, 2018 12:47 pm

Went bottom fishing with my friend Ryan and did well on triggerfish, vermillion snapper, sea bass, scup and endangered red snapper. We were a bit limited by the weather so we could not go to the area where mahi were a likely bycatch. Gags were all short but red snapper from 14"-30" were all over, even on jigs. Some medium ajs on jigs as well but sharks mostly ate them before we could boat them. Came back with 2 120 qts full of fish so no real complaints about not keeping red snapper.

Nice report there Kirk, especially the image. I have been hearing good things about the PROCASINATOR Sport Fishing. Thanks for the report...

Always do well there with a variety of species. You never really no what you will catch. But you will catch a lot of good eating fish. Grouper seems to be a bit down right now and I think all the red snapper are not helping. One spot must have had 30 15" fish with a few bigger 7-8lbers in the mix.
