Not that it really matters but I think the bigger ones are off the Nantucket wrecksI honestly dont know but we always seem to catch quite a few true jumbos on our cod trip out there every year.I do not see the point of tossing them back dead for crabs and seagulls so my 150 always has a good amount of them in it.One trip even tied on a 3 hook rig with 2/0 octopuss and bailed them for a 1/2 hr as the cod fishing was slow.
Theres a few guys making good $$$ potting them South of Block these days.plus a handfull of guys from Montauk actually had charters for them.Like everything else not quite as plentiful as they use to be.Has to be a 10 lber waiting on some unknown piece of chunk in 200 feet of water.lol
