Your Favorite Fish?

Postby Crazy Alberto » Wed May 20, 2009 5:02 pm

Since this is the Kid's corner.... I like to know what is your favorite fish and why?
Because I am still a kid at heart... I will start. ;) I enjoy catching just about every type of fish... but the Striped Bass is very high on my list.

How about you?

I really enjoy Bucktailing fluke.I love how hard they hit the bucktail and keep wanting to come back if you drop back a little.I prefer deepwater ocean fishing off montauk opposed to shallow water.Always manage to get a mini doormat of 7 to 9lbs. every year in montauk even with the little time I have to put in.I will do it all though.Thats probably my favorite I just have no time in the summer for them.I guess thats why I fish so much more for Tog,cod, seabass and scup but truly love our flatfish.

I'm a Bluefish guy, those 3lb fish are the best time ever on the right tackle! Grew up on it and have a place in my heart for the rest of my life!

Bucktailing fluke in montauk is my all time favorite. Always manage some real nice fish. Early in the season is best for the big ones. Limited out last saturday on the Marlin and had too many shorts to count. All on half ounce spro's.
Its an old sicilian message it means Luca Brassi sleeps with the fishes.

Yes, specially the HUMPBACK SCUP!!! They are tough customers and they are awesome on ultralight tackle. :o
