excellent serge. definitley bring those numbers! Also I know a few drops that are loaded with congers that time of year. I always like to round out the catch with a good drop on the congers using light tackle. they really pull hard those things. Just run it by the gang and see what they say

Geez Dan. I dont know about fishing with the CQ in Montauk. He's going to be in the Major leagues out there compared to Port Jeff. Think he can handle it? Does the capt have any spots???

Seems we have a load of interest for this cod trip......maybe we should have some ground rules first:

1- Must enter all pools LARGEST FISH for each category, 2 dollar LING JERKER, 5 dollar BERGAL MAVEN, 10 dollar WINTER KING

2- Must use ONLY OCEAN EAGLE BRAND HOOKS

3- Grand Prize Pool - 20 dollars a man, winner take all in total cod poundage caught between FISHING UNITED and FSA (even teams)

4- Everyone brings one dish of food

5- ANYONE who has been banned by any party boat, must have their PM box and emails spammed, and numerous annoying phone calls made to them by other members daily on till the trip goes off. (I have been told that this is how it is done by the best charter masters in the business)

Lets get a list going. A standby list will also be started.

Date to coincide with when the cod run starts in Montauk.

Sharpies and Ringers associated with any of the FISHING UNITED.COM and FSA are allowed to go on this trip.

Fare to be decided on by Captain Desi.
