8/17 New Yorkers Invade NH Annie B Eastmans

Postby fishark531 » Sat Aug 18, 2018 6:55 am

In what was a an Epic trip for sure I was joined by Ralph Rodwinder, John Poole, Chris Crabcake, Mini Cake, Kenny P and myself for an EPIC DAY OF FISHING with the GREAT Captain Nate

Left the dock at 5 AM and first stop we started fishing at 7 AM and 2 hours later we were limited out at 84 Haddock including Captain Nates on nice sized Haddock

30 minutes later we were into an incredible Whiting bite with the occasional pesky Ling getting in our way

Doubles, Triples, Quadruples were the Norm. Whiting up to and above 4 lbs and Ling up to 3 lbs

We also caught Mackerel, Squid, Pollock, Cod, Big Bergals and Flounder on this trip

We came in early with sore arms and full coolers

Here are some pictures

There is no doubt about it that some of the finest cooler filler bottom fishing is now being done out of New Hampshire. What we would do for a few whiting here! Even winter flounder are mixed into the catch and what a mixed bag can be made on a local day trip.

Love those Ultra Custom Rodwinder rods too!

Wow. That looks like some fun fishing!

Steve - how about a field trip up north some time?

I was told to get up there ASAP, but in September - EASTMANS will have a steady diet of whiting and pollock from what it seems. Just have to get past that week of fishery meetings in MD, and I will try to make some time.
